Continued from here, we follow the dashing adventures of our somewhat dashing leads as they dash towards a dashing future filled with lots of dashing dashers!

Mukuro has taken it upon himself to curl up in the most in-the-way space he can find in Bigby's apartment while he recovers. Naturally this means he's taken the most prominent spot on the other man's couch, but even there his feet dangle off the edges like particularly stubborn birds who refuse to fly away.

Getting cozy are you? [he wanders in from the other room, changed into pajama bottoms. He has an extra pair, which he throws at the illusionist.] They have a drawstring so they won't fall off even your narrow hips. Give me your dirty clothes when they're off so I can throw them in the wash.

[mukufufu]

[he catches the pants and holds them up to take a look.] No cute little patterns? No frolicking daisies and kittens? [he laughs softly, leaning his head back against the couch in an attempt to look lazy. He's actually just.... Tired, tired, but Bigby doesn't need to know that any more than he must already. The continuing lack of illusions is a bigger tell than any lack of exuberance ever would be.]

Fine, fine. [he stands up and starts stripping. Modesty? What's that?]

[bigandbad]

[he's not even slightly surprised. The old wolf just siiighs and takes a long drag.] One of these days, someone needs to set about civilizing you.

[mukufufu]

[Mukuro sends Bigby a challenging, slightly dismissive look.] What use is that? I'd never yield to any yoke. It's futile to try.

[he shucks his pants quickly, changing into the bigger pair with an interested air. they're big enough that he swims in them, though they're actually the right length for once. that done, he gathers up his pants in a crumpled ball and tips his head expectantly at Bigby. where to?]

[bigandbad]

There's a difference between a leash and manners. The necessity of blending in. Practicality. Even I had to learn it.

[still bemused at Mukuro's clothing habits. But he cocks his head - c'mon, he has a living room. They can dry up in there and watch something on TV.]

[mukufufu]

I can use manners, when I see fit. [so, anywhere but his body.] In my own skin, though, there's no blending in anyway. I am a completely impractical thing to start with.

[because really, nobody NEEDS a body-snatching illusionist.]

...hmmm~? [he's hardly morose about his assessment of himself, since Mukuro follows Bigby easily enough.]

You're practical to someone. [everyone can serve a purpose (even if it's just as food).]

Why do you follow me around? [glancing over his shoulder. He's not just talking about tonight.] Tell me honestly. What about me makes you curious?

[mukufufu]

Hm.

[Mukuro looks up, expression light, a lie coming easily to his lips. he falters, though.]

I- [his hands flutter a little before catching in his hair, smoothing through the tangles developing from it being loose. it's long enough that it brushes on Bigby's floor.] At first, you reminded me of Ken a bit. [a little piece of home- snarling, rough, honest.] Then it was just... play. [somebody to get a reaction from, somebody that would always react to him. somebody that thought about him when he wasn't there, even if it was in a negative way.]

You never... [Mukuro looks out the small, grimy window at the fading light, his lower lip caught ever-so-slightly between his teeth.]

[he looks down, up at Bigby, away.] You never forgot about me.
